“Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder”– – is what I was always taught
Now I’m beginning to doubt that wisdom
Sometimes the image I behold possesses an uncommon beauty
But to the world it’s ugly or simply invisible
Is my beauty or ugliness just a figment of my imagination
What I think I see in the mirror or the lens of a camera is not the same as what others see
Is my beauty or ugliness what I see or what others see
Or, is my beauty lost to an old body that use to be…
