Life Lesson: No More Judgement

I used to be a very judgmental person. But as I get older I am learning that I have no right to judge anyone else. I have no idea what has gone on in the lives of others or what their reasons are for doing what they do. No one elected me the morality police.

At this stage in my life I am doing things I never thought I would do (some good, some bad). But I have my reasons ( right or wrong) and I don’t want anyone to judge me.

So when I find myself passing judgement on someone else, I remind myself that I am in charge of my life and no one else’s. People make their own choices and have to live with the consequences. As long as they are not hurting me and mine, I say, “live and let live”.

We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation. It’s one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it’s another to think that yours is the only path.

A major advantage of age is learning to accept people without passing judgment
